I dunnoabout that. I read that if it is too wet it gets underneath to the padding and that is where the mold and mildew forms. My bedroom smells AWFUL, like mildew and stinky feet. I don’t know what to do. My feet don’t stink. I have poured water on it before and last week my cat knocked bucket of water over in there. It eally smels bad now. I guess will have to get new carpet. I think i am dying here from mold. If you see on CNN that woman found dead along with her cats THAT’S ME.
