Try hydrogen peroxide. Put it on an out of the way spot first.

Peroxide, copious amounts of hydrogen peroxide! And after that a paste of lemon juice (fresh) and salt if needed, scrub, repeat, then shampoo.

i just recently had blood all over my carpet too but it was from an injury my dog got on his leg! My mom suggested good ol’ Dawn dish liquid! Just try to rinse some of it out with cool water not hot…number one rule in blood stains..use cool water! Then use some dawn and scrub good then rinse again with cool water it’ll come right out! Good Luck i hope this helped!

Follow these steps to remove blood stains from Carpet/Synthetic, Carpet/Wool, or Foam Rubber:

Mix 1 teaspoon of a mild, non-alkali detergent with 1/2 pint lukewarm water.

Add a small amount to the stain and blot the liquid. Do not force the stain further into the fibers.
Continue blotting until no more stain is removed.
If stain remains, add 1 tablespoon ammonia to 1 cup water (do not use on wool), sponge stain, and blot liquid.

Continue until no more stain is removed.

Place an absorbent pad over the damp area and weight it down.

When no more liquid is drawn out, remove the pad and allow it to air dry thoroughly

I’m not going to ask how it got there, but I will make a suggestion. I’ve never tried it with blood, but try OxyClean. I managed to get out electric blue chemicals out of a white carpet after I literally tried every other stain remover on the market. Took it out in 5 minutes with minimal scrubbing (and this was after I scrubbed with other cleaners on and off for 2 weeks straight). Impressive stuff!
