put a rug infront of your main-door (not inside of the house main door , put it outside and infront of your main door) , and whoever comes can rub their shoe on that . dont go inside the house wearing shoe , buy a shoe rack and keep all of your shoes there . and close you window as much as possible

Get yourself a swifter. it makes cleaning the floors a lot easier. the dry sweep will pick up dust real easy and you can even use it to wipe your walls with.the orange scent is nice.

Best bet is on a weekend – wash and WAX the tile very well and I mean scrub and apply the wax evenly.
When the wax hardens the dirt and dust will sweep up easily as there is less friction to stick to.
It a real pain but pays off.
