Works really well at removing soap scum/mildew and isn't harmful.... You can use some baking soda to scrub at the stains and then squirt it with vinegar (it will fizz up). I personally like to use bleach and water in the bathroom. My favorite store bought cleaner is Fantastik. It does a good job getting things to shine.
